Grand Haven Board of Light & Power

This project consisted of the relocation of 0.5 miles of single circuit overhead distribution line for a road widening project.

This recently reconductored line was transferred to new poles with alley-arm style construction. The conductor transfer  was completed with no customer outages and was faster and less expensive than new line construction. Removal of several large hardwoods was required for both the line construction and road widening. GRP Engineering & GHBL&P staff obtained permission from the adjacent property owners and distribution line relocation was completed ahead of the proposed road construction schedule.

Engineering services included:

  • Distribution line design
