Holland Board of Public Works

Project consisted of the reconstruction of one-half mile of single circuit 138kV transmission line for road widening and bridge reconstruction.

Various route and construction options were analyzed to maintain the existing 138kV river crossing, including ACCC composite conductors and underground 138kV cables. The 138kV transmission line was constructed overhead with traditional round wood and self-supporting tubular steel structures. Three steel transmission structures were attached to a new pedestrian bridge to allow for existing vehicle bridge reconstruction.
